The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce held its 19th Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham. Over 160 members and guests were in attendance while the Chamber announced the 2014 Board of Directors.
Breakfast Eye Opener is a monthly networking program from 8:00am to 9:00am which features a Chamber Member (the Host) as well as a Guest Speaker.
Business After Hours is a networking program where Chamber Members get together in a relaxed social atmosphere after work (usually from 5:30pm to 7:30pm). These events are Hosted by Chamber Members and held on a bi monthly basis.
The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce participated in a friendly golf competition between both chambers. The event was held on October 6, 2014 at The Club at 12 Oaks. This is an annual tradition between both chambers with a trophy that gets swapped back and forth each year.
The Economic Forecast is a program that looks at local, regional, and general economic trends and conditions, along with predictions for the coming year. This program is an excellent opportunity for business professionals at any level to hear & learn about these economic trends for 2015.
The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of a strong education system to support and foster a strong future workforce. The business members also recognize the important and often difficult role teachers and educators play in leading and teaching our students. As a result, the Education and Work Force Development Committee of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce has implemented the Educator of the Month award for the Holly Springs area schools. The chamber will be working with the school principals to present these awards twice a year at each public school.
This year the Executive Women's Luncheon was held at The Club at 12 Oaks. This luncheon is our annual event held strickly for ladies. At the event, our ladies received a 3 course meal, listened to Guest Speaker Deidre Hughey, had a chance to win a variety of door prizes and giveaways and let's not forget an opportunity to socialize and network with one another.
The Government Relation Program is an educational program which addresses big picture issues such as education, transportation, governmental affairs and regional relations. A perfect opportunity for our chamber members to discuss and share ideas with each other.
The Grapes, Grains & Giving - Wine & Beer Tasting is this year's brand new networking and fundraising event. Attendees received unlimited wine tastings provided by Cloer Family Vineyards, Niche Wine Lounge and SiP Wine and Coffee Bistro. Folks also sampled beers from Bombshell Beer Company, Brueprint Brewing Company, and Carolina Brewing Company. An assortment of appetizers, generously provided by local businesses, were also a big hit. Let's not forget the Live Auction. Everyone had the opportunity to bid on serving trays decorated by local artists with the theme "Serving our Community Through the Arts". Proceeds from the live auction benefitted the Holly Springs Art Council as well as the Holly Springs High School Art Program. The event was a huge success and we're told everyone had a good time.
The 2014 Holly Classic Golf Tournament was held on May 5. 2014 at Devils Ridge Golf Club in Holly Springs.
The 2014-2015 HSCC Leadership and Planning Retreat was a two day program which occurred September 4 - 5, 2014, at the beautiful private country club: River Landing in Wallace, North Carolina. The attendees gained valuable insight to important topics that have an impact on the local business community. They expanded their association with other business leaders and had the opportunity to provide input into the future direction of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce.
The Member Appreciation Event is our way of showing thanks to our Chamber Members and their immediate families. This year we held the event at the Holly Springs Cultural Center and planned it in conjunction with the Cultural Center's Summer at the SPRINGS Outdoor Concert Series. Pre-registered Chamber members and their families were treated to a Chick-fil-A box dinner and drinks while listening to The Band of Oz!
The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Chamber Champions and Special Guests gather for our Partners Breakfast. The program gives an opportunity for our key leaders in the local and regional community to come together and share ideas, information and successes that have and are occurring in our region.
Members use Ribbon Cuttings to help open a new business or a new location and put their company in the spot light.
The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce Sponsored the Taste of Holly Springs at the Holly Springs Farmers Market on Saturday June 7, 2014. We gave an opportunity for Holly Springs restaurants and catering businesses to showcase their signature dishes to the downtown Holly Springs Farmers Market audience and market their business.
The Young Professionals Networking Event is designed to engage professionals ages 21 – 39 and help them establish contacts and grow personally through a variety of program topics. It enables those members to take their careers to the next level and get involved in the business community.
