The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce Education Committee presented a speaker panel on local education issues at the August 6th Breakfast Eye Opener.   The panel included Representative Paul “Skip” Stam, Wake County School Board Member Susan Evans, Assistant Superintendent of Facilities Joe Desormeaux and Area Superintendent Lloyd Garner.  The BEO was sponsored by WHIZard Academy of Mathematics and English.

Questions and discussion revolved around the common core standards, capping of HS schools and the new elementary school in Holly Springs planned to open in 2016.    Thanks to the Town of Holly Springs, the entire presentation can be viewed at this link: http://www.hollyspringsnc.us/index.aspx?NID=581
