Get Engaged as a Volunteer!

Volunteer Committees

The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce welcomes members who wish to serve on a Chamber committee.

Chamber Committees offer members the opportunity for additional networking and leadership positions.  Members help facilitate programs and services to elevate our member business and promote a vibrant and healthy business community.  Committee participation is a great way to network, share ideas, promote your business and support the community. Most committees meet on pre-set monthly dates, although some meet on an as-needed basis.

AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE

CO-CHAIR: Chris Cook, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial
CO-CHAIR: LaShonza Brown, First National Bank

Chamber Ambassadors are a key connection to member businesses. Ambassadors take a leadership role keeping Chamber members engaged and informed through personal outreach, referrals, attending ribbon-cutting and serving as public relations liaisons at networking and membership events. Ambassadors are enthusiastic people who are energized by connecting with other people – and making sure everyone feels included and valued. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week.

EVENTS COMMITTEE

CO-CHAIR: Amy Short, WakeMed
CO-CHAIR: Mark Campbell, Endurance Fence Solutions

The Events Committee plans, facilitates and promotes signature chamber-hosted events such as Casino Night, Grapes, Grains & Giving, Women’s Empowerment Luncheon, Chamber Challenge and our Business Awards Celebration! Members of this committee should enjoy interacting with people and be willing to assist with logistical tasks and creative solutions for our event gatherings. Time Commitment: 1-3 hours per week.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE

Members of the Government Relations committee are interested in learning how local, state and federal agencies interact; and how legislation / public policy impacts economic development and business opportunities. This committee plans guest speakers, discusses policy areas impacting the business community, connects with elected officials and plans special events related to voter education. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per month.
